About the Collier County Clerk's Office
Crystal K. Kinzel serves as the elected Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller for Collier County. The Clerk is a constitutional officer under Florida law, elected countywide, and holds responsibility for both judicial records and county financial management. That dual role is specific to Florida's structure: the same office that files your court documents also audits county spending and maintains the county's financial accounts.
The office covers a wide range of functions. Court records span circuit and county court matters, including civil, criminal, family law, probate, guardianship, traffic, juvenile, and mental health divisions. Beyond court records, the Clerk handles recording of official documents (deeds, mortgages, liens), marriage licenses, passports, tax deed sales, value adjustment board proceedings, lobbyist records, board minutes, and an inspector general function. Public records requests are coordinated through the Clerk's office under Florida's Chapter 119 framework.

Court Administration occupies Suite 501 in the same complex. Both offices share the address 3315 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, FL 34112. Parking is free in the garage on the south side of the courthouse.
Collier County Clerk Responsibilities
The Clerk's office touches nearly every part of the local court and county government system. Court-side functions include accepting and filing pleadings, managing case records across all Collier court divisions, collecting filing fees, issuing summonses, processing jury service, and maintaining the docket. Comptroller-side functions include managing county finances, pre-auditing county expenditures, and oversight through the inspector general program.
Key responsibility areas for the Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller include:
- Court records for circuit and county court cases (civil, criminal, family, probate, guardianship, traffic, mental health, juvenile)
- Official records recording (deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, marriage licenses)
- Marriage license issuance and ceremony services
- Passport acceptance services
- Tax deed sale administration
- Board of County Commissioners records and value adjustment board proceedings
- County finance, budget oversight, and comptroller functions
The inspector general function is a separate oversight role. It handles complaints and investigations related to county operations, adding an accountability layer beyond ordinary record-keeping. Florida law requires the Clerk to carry out all of these duties as a single constitutional officer rather than splitting them between separate agencies.
Note: The Public Records Coordinator for the Clerk's office is Renata Robbins, Custodian of Public Records, reachable at the same Suite 102 address and (239) 252-2646.
Collier County Clerk Online Access Systems
The Clerk operates several online tools, each covering a different type of record or transaction. Knowing which system to use saves time. Court case records and court event calendars live in one system; recorded official documents such as deeds and mortgages are in a separate system; payments use a third portal; and certified copies can be ordered through a fourth.
The ShowCase Web court case search is the main portal for searching Collier court records. It is free for the public and does not require registration for basic searches. You can look up cases by case number, party name, citation number, date range, and court type. Case detail tabs show parties, dockets, charges, sentences, fees, and court events. The Clerk states there are no fees for viewing online court cases. Registered users may see additional documents or information beyond the public view, depending on Florida's statewide Security Matrix rules.
The COR Access Official Records system is separate from the court case search. It covers recorded instruments: deeds, mortgages, liens, and recorded marriage licenses. Search by party name, document type, date, parcel, instrument number, or book and page. COR Access also allows copy ordering and portal registration for business users. The Clerk notes that address searches in COR Access pull from Property Appraiser records and are not part of the Official Record itself.
The following table lists each online system and its primary use:
| System | URL | Primary Use |
|---|---|---|
| ShowCase Web | cms.collierclerk.com/showcaseweb | Court case search, dockets, charges, fees, court events |
| COR Access | cor.collierclerk.com/coraccess | Official records (deeds, mortgages, liens, recorded marriage licenses) |
| ShowCase ePay | epay.collierclerk.com | Online court fee and fine payments |
| eCertify | cms.collierclerk.com/eCertify | Online certified document requests |
| Report Portal | cms.collierclerk.com/ReportPortal | Public court record reports and summaries |
The ShowCase landing page at cms.collierclerk.com links to all of the above tools in one place. From there you can get to case search, reports, ePay, and eCertify without navigating the main Clerk website. The system runs version v4.0.148 of the ShowCase platform; COR Access runs version 3.3.0.18.
The ShowCase court event calendar is available at cms.collierclerk.com/showcaseweb/#/calendar. It shows scheduled hearings by month, week, or day with courtroom codes such as Naples 1B, Naples RC, and Naples SC. If you are checking on a hearing, bring your case number or the party name so you can cross-reference the calendar entry.
The Clerk's homepage carries a daily website maintenance notice. Brief system outages may occur. If a portal is unavailable, try again after a short wait or call the Clerk at (239) 252-2646.
The ShowCase Web system landing page below shows the case search interface, ePay link, eCertify link, report portal, and registered-user login options.
From this page you can reach every major Clerk online tool without navigating the full Clerk website menu.
Collier County Clerk ePay and eCertify Tools
ePay and eCertify are the two transactional online tools most court users need. ePay handles court fee payments; eCertify handles certified copy requests. Both are hosted under the ShowCase/CMS platform and are linked from the main ShowCase landing page.
The ePay portal at epay.collierclerk.com accepts online payments for court fees and fines. This covers things like civil filing fees, criminal assessment balances, traffic citation payments, and other amounts owed to the Collier Clerk. The Clerk's traffic fee schedule notes a $5 online payment processor fee for traffic citation payments made online. Check your case fee balance through ShowCase Web before paying to confirm the amount owed.
The screenshot below shows the ePay portal used for Collier County court fee payments.
ePay is the Clerk-operated payment option; avoid third-party payment sites not linked directly from the Clerk's official domain.
eCertify at cms.collierclerk.com/eCertify is the online tool for requesting certified copies of court documents. A certified copy carries an official stamp and signature from the Clerk and is generally required for legal proceedings, immigration filings, loan applications, and other formal uses. The portal below shows the eCertify interface.
For documents not available through eCertify, use the in-person or mail request process described in the certified copies section below.
How to Request a Certified Copy from the Collier Clerk
Certified copies carry the Clerk's official seal and signature. Courts, government agencies, and many legal transactions require them rather than plain printed copies. An uncertified printout from the online portal is not the same as a certified copy for legal purposes. The Clerk offers three paths: online through eCertify, in person at the Suite 102 counter, or by mail.
- Find your case number. Search ShowCase Web by party name or citation number to locate the full case number in Collier format (e.g., 11-2026-MM-000744-AXXX-01). Write it down before proceeding.
- Choose your request method. For online requests, go to eCertify. For in-person requests, go to the Clerk's counter at 3315 Tamiami Trail East, Suite 102, Naples, FL 34112, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For mail requests, write to the same address and include a check or money order for the applicable fee.
- Identify the specific document. Know which document you need: the judgment, the order, the disposition page, the full case file, or a specific docket entry. The more specific you are, the faster the Clerk can process your request.
- Calculate the fee. Review the fee schedule below. Certified copy fees vary by document type and filing category. If you are unsure, call the Clerk at (239) 252-2646 before submitting payment.
- Submit your request and payment. Online: complete the eCertify form and pay by card. In person: provide your written request or complete the form at the counter and pay. By mail: include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you want the copy mailed back to you.
- Wait for processing. Processing time varies. Complex or older case files may take longer. In-person requests for readily available documents can sometimes be completed the same day. Call (239) 252-2646 to check on pending mail requests.
Note: Court documents that are sealed, expunged, or otherwise confidential under Florida law cannot be released to the public even on a certified-copy request.
Collier County Public Records Request Fields
A public records request submitted to the Collier County Clerk follows Florida Chapter 119. You do not need to state why you want the records, but you do need to give the Clerk enough detail to locate them. The Clerk coordinates requests through Public Records Coordinator Renata Robbins. Requests may be submitted online through the Clerk's website contact workflow, by email, by phone, or in person.
The Clerk's public records process typically requires the following information:
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Records custodian / recipient | Yes | Address to: Renata Robbins, Custodian of Public Records, Collier County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller |
| Requester contact information | Yes | Name, mailing address, phone, and email so the Clerk can respond and arrange delivery |
| Description of records requested | Yes | Be specific: case number, party names, document type, date range, or filing category |
| Preferred delivery method | Yes | In person pickup, mail, or electronic delivery; note that email addresses may become public record under Florida law |
| Fee/payment arrangements | If copies requested | Certified copies and extensive production may carry fees; discuss with Clerk before submitting large requests |
The Clerk's website carries a specific notice: if a person does not want their email address released in response to a public records request, they should contact the office by phone or in writing rather than by email. This is a Florida statutory notice and applies to all email communications sent to any agency subject to Chapter 119.
Collier County Clerk Fee Schedule
Fees for court filings and services are set by the Clerk based on Florida statutes and court rules. The Clerk's master fee page links to separate schedules for each court division. The most common fees are listed below. All fees are subject to change; confirm current amounts with the Clerk before filing or paying.
| Item | Fee |
|---|---|

| County civil claim under $100 | $55 |
| County civil claim $100–$500 | $80 |
| County civil claim $500–$2,500 | $175 |
| County civil claim $2,500–$15,000 | $300 |

Civil filing fees scale with the claim amount for county civil cases. Circuit civil matters use a flat $400 filing fee for most general actions. Criminal fees include both the public defender application fee at the start of a case and the assessment added at the end. Marriage fees can drop from $86 to $61 when both applicants complete an approved premarital course and present certificates at the time of application.
Collier County Clerk Court Divisions
The Clerk's office serves all court divisions in Collier's circuit and county courts. Each division has distinct filing rules and fees. Knowing the right division matters because a pleading filed in the wrong division may be rejected or cause delays.
The Clerk's court-division menu covers: appeals, civil (circuit and county), criminal (felony and misdemeanor), e-file and e-notify, e-certify, family law, court guardianships, jury service, juvenile delinquency, mental health, probate, self-help, and traffic. Records for all of these divisions are searchable through ShowCase Web, subject to Florida's statewide Security Matrix and electronic court records access rules.
Some case types carry tighter access rules. Juvenile delinquency and dependency records are restricted by statute. Mental health records under the Baker Act and Marchman Act are highly protected. Family law documents may have images withheld from the internet even when the case index is visible. Probate images can be restricted under probate rules. If a case appears in the index but documents are not visible online, contact the Clerk or visit the courthouse public terminals for access consistent with your role in the case.
Marriage licenses are issued through the Clerk's Recording Department, also at Suite 102. The Clerk performs marriage ceremonies at all office locations and online through Microsoft Teams appointments. For recorded marriage licenses, search COR Access rather than ShowCase. Dissolution of marriage cases file through the Family Law/Civil Department and appear in ShowCase under the Domestic Relations/Family case type. For more on these records, see the marriage and divorce records page.
Probate matters, including formal administration, summary administration, guardianship, and related proceedings, are filed with the Clerk's Courts Department and appear in ShowCase under the Probate/Guardianship case category. See the probate records page for fees and process details. For broader public records requests beyond court filings, the public records page covers the full Chapter 119 framework and how to submit a request.
Collier Clerk Recording and Official Records
Recording is a major Clerk function separate from court case records. When a deed, mortgage, lien, or other instrument is recorded, it enters the Official Records index and becomes publicly searchable in COR Access. The Clerk's recording menu covers recording fees, recording forms, resources, marriage license recording, passports, tax deed sales, and risk alert enrollment.
Risk Alert is a free service that sends an email or text notification whenever a document is recorded in the Official Records under a name you register. It helps homeowners and businesses detect fraudulent recordings quickly. Enroll through the Clerk's recording menu on collierclerk.com.
The Official Records system has a removal mechanism for certain sensitive information. Military discharge documents, death certificates, and some family/probate/juvenile court file images may be eligible for removal from public internet display under Florida statutes. However, the Clerk's notice states that grantor/grantee/party names listed in the statutory index under F.S. 28.222 will not be removed from the Official Records index even when exempt images or information are removed from public view. If you believe a recording contains exempt information, contact the Clerk at (239) 252-2646 to learn about the removal request process.
Filing and Request Methods for Collier Clerk Records
The Clerk accepts filings and document requests through multiple channels. Most court case filings for represented parties go through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal (MyFLCourtAccess.com), which the Clerk references in small claims and other self-help materials. Pro se filers should confirm with the Clerk whether e-filing is required or optional for their case type.
In-person visits to Suite 102 remain the most direct option for same-day needs. Bring a photo ID, know your case number, and have payment ready. Credit card payments made in person carry a 3.5% processing fee. The Clerk accepts cash, check, money order, and card at the counter.
Mail requests go to the same Suite 102 address. Include a description of the records, your contact information, and a check or money order for the estimated fee. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope for return delivery. If the actual fee differs from your payment, the Clerk will contact you before processing.
For online payments, ePay at epay.collierclerk.com handles court fee balances and traffic citation payments. Online card processing for traffic citations carries a $5 fee per transaction. For online certified copies, eCertify at cms.collierclerk.com/eCertify processes document certification requests without requiring an in-person visit.
